TAKE AWAY THE BLUES

I love books!

I've heard about this one from my cousin in Australia. I've searched for it and was not able to get a copy until last month!

The coolest thing was i got it hard bound with a cheap price tag on it! Greatest deal i got that day after spending 2 hours killing time @Booksale shop.

This book is "a wonderful collection of amusing, poignant animal photos and inspirational text designed to lift the spirits of anyone who's got the blues."

Bears' cuddles, and puppies' smooches

"No one who has lips will be able to read it without smiling; it's guaranteed."

Smile and take away the blues...

LOVE WHAT YOU DO!

I got inspired by the LOVE STORY campaign of Blackberry.

Concept started when Will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas in a show in Sydney Australia smiled and asked a fan for her camera and turned it on himself and said: "Even if no one listened to the music that we made I would still love what I do, because I love music from the bottom of my soul to the top of my soul to the inner of my soul, I love what I do!"

The Love Anthem by Will.iam

In these campaign where creatives and their passion with their crafts. Here is one of the love story....

GO GREEN

I am glad green-thumb runs in the family. Here's a plump gourd produce freshly cut from my Uncle's backyard. I always like homegrown produce like healthy and fertilizer free fruits and vegetables. We keep a little garden at home also and at times we plant some vegetables like bitter gourd, okra and red chili. In the sense that not only you can get them fresh from your backyard, you can also save a portion of your budget.

Make use of your spare land or space to grow produce. You can save financially and you can also help save the environment in your own little way.

OUR GARDEN

I took some shots in our garden.
Our little fairy still here though got broken wings.
Some of the cacti which survived all these years..
A new life clinging on branches...
For the love of flowers here are some late posts of flower arrangements @Changi Airport.

These stargazers lilies are one of my faves ever!
These red crab claw flowers (heliconia) never fail to be on the center piece...

We used to have these Dancing ladies orchids in our garden. What a beauty of nature!

In this blog you will find lots of flower picture posts for these are the things my eyes fancy! :)

MITCHCRAFT!

Made this for my niece Nicole.

Actually it was unfinished last Wednesday afternoon and she gave it to me to do the last crochets because she intended to use it for their trip out of town the following day. She likes pink and so this is it! I am glad it fits her well and she is happy with it. Next project cap is on-going and will be posted her soon. I want it done so she can wear it when she comes back on Easter Sunday.

It makes me so happy after finishing any craft. This is one of my many skills (hahaha!) i may say. Yes i am good with crafts and i am proud of my God-given talent.

It ain't bragging coz I've done it! :P

Have a blessed Holy Week everyone!

THE MOON

My nephew asked me for a quick shot of the moon last night. He was outside and noticed it was kind of different because the outer was glowing yellow. Like me, he too is fascinated with the moon. He would always call me if it is too bright, full or really big.

Oh i love the moon!

COURAGEOUS FISH

Ever since i was little i have always wanted a Japanese garden with lots of bonsai trees and pond with lotus flowers and koi fishes in it. Once at ATC i was in awe when i saw huge ones, as in biggest that i have ever seen. There an exhibit in the mall by breeders shown different kinds and "how-tos" on taking care of them. There were like 2-3 huge koi fishes swimming in a standard sized jacuzzi. They can be fed by hands and that there were no sense of aloofness as people tried to touch them. Right there the eagerness to have them was revived. Then again, space, time and budget wont allow me to have them. Sigh!

FYI: Koi fishes in Japanese culture symbolizes good fortune and luck. They are also associated with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose. In Buddhism it represents courage.

MESA

Yet another failed attempt to dine in this resto. The reason? First of, we were still full from the snacks we had before be got into the place. Secondly, we were so tired from walking around to have the appetite to eat, we wanted to rest our soles instead. Lastly, want to dine there with fam!

Whatever reviews they got for this resto i still want to try their dishes myself. Good luck on my next attempt. ;)

BLINDED GEM

This is Gem, a shih tzu, i used to take care when i was abroad. I heard some 2 weeks ago that he has been brought to the vet for check up and was advised to take off one of his eyes because of severe infection. This breed is prone to eye infections because their eyes are kind of popped out a little. Poor Gem. Now i fear for our Daniel. I hope he wont suffer the same. Get well soon Gem.
