He never failed me
He lets the sun shine
He took my worries

THERE IS STILL LIGHT

mind was preoccupied
hands trembling

EAST COAST PARK

SELAMAT HARI RAYA

It's a holiday today (observed) in celebration of the Hari raya puasa. Feast day for our Muslim brothers. It commemorated the end of fasting or Ramadan. This feast is recognized in most countries especially in the middle east. We don't have work so i woke up early and went to East Coast Park for a little break. "Breath in, Breathe out." Yes, i need some fresh air. it relaxes me.

DOG LEASH

We brought with us our dog in the park. Unlike other pets Gem is so naughty barking on other dogs passing around. He is so loud and would bark until dogs were out of his site. Just awhile ago we have him tied up to the bench then this tall guy with his white furry dog passed by and stopped in front (some meters away to be exact). Gem went wild barking. It ran hard and fast snapping off his leash unto this guys dog. Good thing he was able to carry his dog up. Like hell, i ran with may bare feet to get Gem back to our place and of course said sorry to the guy for what had happened.

Ok but the guy didn't take sorry for that. He kept yacking about this happened to him twice already for this day. Nagged that we should be careful and like this and that. Good thing i still hold myself up not to get back blasting him. In the first place it's not my fault for him having a bad day today nor my fault that Gem's leash snapped off. Accidents are inevitable and so do shits happen! So chill man!

WASH AWAY

"and i got troubles oh,
but not today
cause they're gonna wash away,
this old heart gonna take them away..."

RAFFLES PLACE

I went to see my 39th flr-client. So i got out from this MRT station, went up to one of the buildings there, went back down after like 30 minutes transaction, look around, sat on one corner, took some shots, walked around for more shots, bought ice cream on bread to cool me a bit from this hot weather, rode the train after, and went back to work.

Back on the table and face on paperworks. Hello, how may i help you? answering those rings. :)

A ROMANTIC PLACE

This area behind Fullerton Hotel got nice romantic ambiance most especially at night. Flowers and vines, lamp posts, tables and chairs lined up here. I am not sure how this area looks at night but small candlelights would be nice on those tables, wine glasses, romantic instrumental music on the background and of course lovers with their bits of laughter and then me taking pictures of them. Snap out of it and get back to reality! :) As i was saying, this is a nice place for that.

They usually do wedding pictorials around this area. I hurried up to catch this couple in their wedding dress and suit. Not a bad shot even from behind. :)) Again, i am thinking of those photography workshops and events here. Yes, wanting to go but no time.

EARLIER SCENARIOS

These figures i took from the sides of the bridge. They maybe replicas of how it was before years ago. I saw like replicas of foreigner talking to a local on one side of the bridge and one like doing barter with his goods. It's just too bad i wasn't able to take some photos on that side.

Two little kittens with their parent playing along the riverside.

And this is a fun scene on one side of the bridge. A replica of how kids before used to jumped here for a swim. This kid taking off his sh0rts to join the others. Then the other kid trying to push his friend to the water. It's such fun scenario of how it was here in this area long time ago.

They are nice representations of the years gone by. I think i got my pictures for the day already. Wow!

BEHIND THE SCENE

The Fullerton Hotel is that building you can see behind the Merlion at Marina Bay. It is one of my most admired design of building structures here. I love how it is well lighted at night. For like years now and nth time that i have passed this area i have never been behind the building. I've been wanting to go there if not for my busy schedules. Glad that i have to get back to that 39th-floor-client and i was able to go around for a few minutes.

I liked those pillars
Nice setting on this side

To the bridge from Fullerton Building
Palm trees surrounding the building
Sun was so high that noon and felt like burning my skin but no choice i got to have some shots for i know i may not go back again place. Water isn't clear on this side but then it's not smelly.

Tourist can ride these boats that roam around this side to Marina Baby. Boats pass under this bridge. I think this is where they do barters in the earlier years. A tour guide or just voiceover will help tourists know about the history of the place while aboard these boats.

I said "tour guide or just voiceover" because im not sure for i haven't tried them. As i was standing on the bridge one boat passed under and i heard a voiceover coming from it.
Maybe when my niece and nephew are back here for the holidays we can try to ride one of these boats as well. This country is just small compared to ours but then because of the busy schedules i can't seem to see those nice places yet. But hopefully i will soon...

IT'S GOING TO GET LOUD

F1 Race is on this September and it's going to get loud. Booths are open along Orchard road for memorabilia. Posters are up along the city streets. It's going to be a star studded 3-day event. Who are coming? I see posters of Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot, Adam Lambert, Daughtry, Sean Kingston, Chippendales to name a few.

F1 is a sought after yearly event here in Singapore. A lot of tourists come during this time from different countries. This kind of event, as well as the recently held Youth Olympic Game last month, boosted Singapore's tourism industry. Good work! Majulah Singapura! Onward Singapore!

ON A SUNDAY

How did my Sunday go? Let me tell you...

I woke up to a cold morning and it was raining. I had my shower and got dressed up for work. I wore my black hooded jacket just to protect me from the rain walking from home to the carpark. I went to Orchard to work then went out to meet someone at the Embassy. Walked back to Orchard. I decided to pass by Marks & Spencer for some goodies. Everytime i see and go to this shop i remember a dear pretty friend Stace who used to send us goodies from Marks & Spencer. I remember the peppermint tea!

Marks & Spencer
This bread shop in Ion sells yummy pastries. And again i'm not into sweet stuff but i love them. I walked around Ion and went to stay outside also to take some shots.
Sorry shot was out of focus.
It was intended for the bagels there.

This is their version of "dirty ice cream" as what they call it back home. Ice cream not serve in cones but on bread or wafer. Ice creams packed like rectangular and have to cut it to serve. Flavors are delicious. They don't melt easily even on a hot weather. Kurt's (my nephew) favorite as well.
F1 Race displays at Ion Orchard

After Ion i went back to office and went out late for Sunday mass. We decided to go Novena. Special mass was going on and a lot of devotees came. On this shot below devotees were actually on the other side of the highway already because even the carpark just outside the church was so crowded.
Umbrellas opened for it was raining as well that time.
After attending the mass. Me and cousins decided to have dinner at Kallang. I had hot plate beancurd and braised fish, hot tea and steamed rice. I was full. Thanking my Lord for the graces.
Hot plate beancurd.

I had a tiring day. Busy but it's good and bored like doing the same thing. I just can't wait to be home with my loved ones.
