CHRISTMAS ON THE STREET

This was Christmas on Orchard Road, Singapore three years ago. Parade is always on during 25th of December. It goes with theme each year. I wonder how did it go this year. I miss this event, where all people were on the street with their families and watch the floats of different colors, designs and themes.

It was such an event in Singapore during Christmas. This is another attraction to expect, in addition to the well lighted Orchard Road, for tourists who come visit during the season.

HEARTRENDING

Photo: taken at Marine Parade, Singapore

My heart goes to the victims of the recent typhoon that hit the southern part of our country, particularly Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. It was such a shock that stupefied me for days. I can not comprehend how now can this be a season of joy when victims are in grief for their loss, and with our people’s empathy with fellow countrymen’s sufferings. It was just too much to bear.

Once had i experienced losing our home to fire and it felt like end of the world when everything was gone in an instant. Relocation to us was easy or maybe not, but bearable. Thinking of this typhoon calamity, the transition i know would be gradual. I was just overwhelmed with the help coming copiously from different parts of the country and abroad, of which, i hope would somehow ease the pain in every victim’s heart. Making them perceive, even just for a moment, that there are a lot of people out there who still care and trying to make them feel a little warmer in this low point of their lives. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

MEMORIAL DAY

We (with niece and nephew) came to visit my father's grave in Makati early Monday morning. Right after, we went straight to Greenbelt. We dropped by the chapel and sat on the park for awhile. Enjoying the air blowing lightly. Sky was nice and weather was not that hot. We enjoyed looking at the kids playing by the fountain. I wanted to take pictures of them but parents might call my attention for that. One mom blew some bubbles over the kids. Such a wonderful moment when little kids tried to burst bubbles. Benches were occupied as well as the tables from the coffee shops behind us.

Look at how the scenery made on this old man's face. It was my niece's hand below the photo, by the way. I really enjoyed the day, like a break off from the rat race. I definitely need more of this kind of day.

IGUANA SMILE

Mobile shot by Kurt @BioResearch

An Iguana smiled at Kurt during one of his school field trips. An unusual moment to see such creature moved and gave a smile. What a cutie!
